Overall, this is an interesting read and I would love to have it dropped in on any campaign that I play in. It’s a different system of power for your NPC’s and PC’s alike, and can break up some of the tedium of basic spell-casting.

Other thematic ties link the powers of soulmelds to their chakra binds. A Totemist that pretends to be a Dragonfire Adept could make that work very easily. In fact, most wielders of incarnum have strong moral and ethical outlooks inextricably linked to their use of the substance.

Opinions on Magic of Incarnum?
Just a bunch of crazies wandering around the ruins. Will you take the rocket launcher? It leaves a nicarnum locked into a particular role for the day, and when your “days” invariably consist of healthy spatterings of combat and skill challenges, lots of the more niche soulmelds are just left unshaped because they’re taking up space of melds that are useful in nearly any situation.
