For kooking YA novel, Marchetta tackles some fairly big issues but this is handled with a deft and light hand. I fear I have to say that I strongly disliked him at times.

June I skim Marchetta all the time but this is my first proper Alibrandi reread in a while and I’m still in love with the story, with Josie and the Alibrandis, with Michael Andretti, with John Barton and Jacob Coote. Amazon Advertising Find, attract, and engage mzrchetta. I love her family so much.
I just love them. Looking for Alibrandi is timeless and should be rendered as classic as it rightfully deserve. It’s hard to describe the latter, but it is truly special and beautiful. The romance between Jacob and Josie was realistic–they messed up a lot here and there but they were good for each other, even on the bad days.
There lookinv so many things about this book that brought me to tears and gave me hiccups from too much laughing, and thoughtful from reminiscing similar experiences by Josie and by John. Panic was my first reaction to the multiple choice options that lay on my desk in front of me. A catacomb made of people’s notions and sentiments that run parallel to a rather honest and rudimentary conundrum. I passed the magazine to her knowing she hadn’t been fooled.
