I had lots of “ouch, that’s me” moments, but it was exactly what I needed. Written in the ‘s but still culturally relevant as we live in swondoll society dominated by self-interest. Some good stuff in this book, but I don’t think I was quite in the right space for it.
After a couple of chapters, I think I got it. Return to Book Page. And Swindoll makes this point by using Scripture to tell us what God has in mind for us, how He wants us to serve. I first read this in a small group study while I was in university.
