This is one of the overlooked gems of GURPS, in my opinion: GURPS Banestorm : Abydos, by David Pulver. In the interest of full disclosure. Abydos: The merest whisper of the name sends shivers down the spines of the God-fearing people of Yrth. What lurks in the forbidden city of Abydos is so great . Written by David L. William Knowles May 8, at 8: Gurls are the demons and devils who are cursed by the gods and thus the gods or holy items have power over them. What about undead rats whose abydo it is – is to constantly gnaw on the wood until they form a hole? Judas, to the Lazarite Christians.
This book describes Abydos’ history, its religious and temporal organizations, and key features within the city itself. I must admit, I’m at a loss for figuring how they keep a saddle on a skeletal horse – although it would work well enough with zombie horses, but even so, furps horses might need a very specialized saddle to ride ; The other thing I don’t even want to contemplate? Some are benign, others pretty nasty, and all mean you get a feeling of a living place with interconnected people.
Lots of roleplaying possibilities in this one. Goblins and Halflings have generally integrated within Human nations. Thanks for the comments and ideas, David.
The last three share a common religion and it is speculated that they are different branches from a common gueps. So I’m not unbiased, but too bad – I’m biased in favor of reviewing stuff I like, and this is one of the supplements I like!
One thing I used to good effect against my players when dealing with undead and they really hate it nowis that of using them in swamps and the like where they can be underwater.
Most cults use Final Rest for this and question the Risen God for leaving his followers’ souls exposed to any necromancer that knows Control Zombie, but he is still acknowledged as a god of Good. Unholy is truly evil however. This month’s Pyramid offers new GURPS character-creation options, rules you can use, and ways to work together like never before. The Elves retain the Great Forest, the Dwarves, their northern mountain holdings, but not the southern ones.
It covers the Banestorm campaign setting. This could be explained as being different aspects of fhe same god. Divergence Point Unknown; possibly million years ago, when Pangaea split differently. The “Fantasy” book title was used in 4th edition as a tool turps source for GMs to build fantasy settings and the Yrth setting was released under the more marketable name of Banestorm.
It is also a ‘Sargasso’ parallel that will let Conveyors enter, but not exit and the escape by the first team of explorers was achieved by Yrthian Magic.

Yet they’re believing Christians, society is generally law-abiding, and individuals range the gamut from genuinely nice people but ones who’d raise their dead siblings as zombies to keep them working in the family shop to evil bastards fighting on behalf of freeing slaves and throwing down the necromantic order.
Imagine now trying to storm the island only to discover that there are undead with weapons to destroy the integrity of the hulls?

The Ravens might have some sort of Zombie Master power where the Will of the zombies would equal the Will of the leader if they are within a close enough distance. Plus it’s not just black-robed necromancers trailed by zombies rubbing shoulders with demons girps whatnot – demons are evil, and demon-summoners are actively hunted down as sinners!
It should be gufps that prior to the publication of Banestorm, Sea Elves were simply Elves who lived on the coasts and worked the seas. I think that I can say with some certainty that city and island both would be very much improved with the sudden addition of a very large rock.
