Asher is all stream-of-consciousness with no punctuation. I like that everyone — including the parents — have their say. When the two cross paths, they find the feeling of wanting to get out is mutual and they decide to run away together. I especially love the way the author writes in this– Not your everyday, typical teenage angst, but given to the reader in a lighthearted and somewhat humorous perspective. Meanwhile, of course, their parents are going crazy. It just brings a grin to your face. brigdi
With all that said I think this book could work for some people, maybe younger teenagers who would like to try an interesting structured book. It’s my kind of book- about two teenage runaways who learn a lot about life in the process of their exciting getaway. This is a story of two kids who found themselves on the run from a petty crime Asher was accused of. I lean out the window at night and I can taste it out there, waiting for me.
