The end is nigh for the adventurous DEFIANCE trilogy by C.J. Redwine and before you round out your collection with a copy of Deliverance. Baalboden has been ravaged. The brutal Commander’s whereabouts are unknown. And Rachel, grief stricken over her father’s death, needs. Editorial Reviews. From Booklist. Redwine’s romantic dystopian adventure, which she began with Defiance (), continues at a brisk and well-managed pace.
But read Defiance first. She was utterly unremarkable.
He is smart, strong, a great listener, and sooo much more. In general the plot felt much deeper and more interesting. Some were contributed by fellow readers, and a lot were written by the fantastic Recaptains team.
ARG it just bothers me so much when books waste their potential!!!!! He was the one that caused the destruction of Baalboden in the first place, plus he was only nineteen years old. Rachel kept banging on about how broken she was, how guilty she felt after killing someone, how she wanted vengeance, how nobody could understand her feelings, and how she couldn’t open up to anyone. The mystery part I thought was quite predictable, but I seem to think that of every YA mystery for some reason. Here’s my favorite thing about this sequel: Nothing freaking happens in this book.
DECEPTION by C.J. Redwine | Kirkus Reviews
Andrea The Overstuffed Bookcase. She has made her characters more realistic instead of like teenage superheroes, the downfall is that both are whiny teens! Rachel does go through the wringer emotionally. In fact, it’s absolute garbage. Source of the controller and decption most of the trouble not caused by the Commander himself.
The chaos and uncertainty of each day puts unbearable strain on Rachel and Logan, and it isn’t long before they feel their love splintering. A LOT of craziness and action happens in this book! I I think this book just left me speechless. Sure enough, the Commander comes knocking, and they all go fleeing in an unlikely exodus that takes them into the Wasteland. They bring so much depth to the story.

Redwine – Starting November 21st I got sucker cj.redwine right into the story until I was freaking knee deep in it with no escape out until I read to the very end. Rachel spent the majority of the book going on about being broken and basically hollowing herself of all emotions and being a shell of a character that just floated through the plot.
Damn, the feels tho As for the plot, I felt it was quite dragged Baalboden has been ravaged. Deception picks up mere days after the end of Defiance.

But when they make me cry, laugh, and jump around like a crazy person because I’m so caught up that I think it’s happening to me or my best friend? And today is her Birthday! I wish she would have just been forthright with Logan the whole time instead of bottling it up. Not of what’s happening to them right now, but of his mind. Feb 08, Jenn rated it liked it Shelves: She later finds out her father indeed died.
I once again fell in love with Logan and felt so bad for him, having the weight of the world on his shoulders. Revenge deceeption a big theme in this one, and we c.j.rddwine how it drives so many of the survivors.
