In this book, she begins to take notice of an unusual number of deaths of young professionals who seemed to be succumbing to an overdose of cocaine. Laurie Montgomery, a medical examiner, tries to prove that upscale overdose cases are overdoses.

Laurie is a new medical examiner that is getting cases of overdoses, but she doesn’t believe they are real overdoses. Laurie Mongomery is faced with incoming rushes of bodies whose deaths are quite unexplained.

All of the “so called professionals” lack the work professionalism. Turns out that it is possible to be so open minded that your brains fall out.

Reading the synopsis and learning that it was medical thriller had me hooked. The success of the novel relies solely upon the griping plot construction with amazing twists.

She has a lot to prove and try not to get killed or fired in the process. Thanks for telling us about the problem. Like most of Cook’s other work, it is a medical thriller. Comparing the writing to Robin Cook’s signature on the front cover I would blindsighht that the inscription was written by Robin Cook.

I did not care much about any of the characters and I felt angry with the lack of character development. Aug 19, Maulik Mistri rated it really liked it. A beautifully written story by Robin Cook, which forces us to think how the medical world is being manipulated by criminals to make money.

However, the books plotline seemed really interesting and “something different” that I had read before. Many were also featured in the Literary Guild. As usually, Cooo turn to Cook when experiencing a reader’s block. In true Robin Cook fashion, it grabbed me again.
