I have read most of this author’s books and have enjoyed them, although with each subsequent book the author has dealt more with the psychological aspect of his characters as opposed to the thriller part. Also, the from the outside looking in, third party narrative trick that worked well in Madman’s Tale, here doesn’t quite appeal as much and tends to be as distracting as it is suspense driving.

This is a book about mind games and what rational people will equivocadoo in irrational situations. As a writer myself, I can actually picture what the author did.
