He’s not for everyone and self-serving but has his selfless moments and genuinely wants to find a woman who loves him. I was pleasantly surprised. A woman with three maids, each with such decided opinions, can hardly bemoan her lack of guidance!

If only Elijah visited her at this time in the afternoon…but he never did. EJ has a witty, amusing style and the book proceeds at a steady pace with no noticable lull. I had already grown to care for the characters because they had been in the previous books.

Many of the other reviewers have elaborated on the details much better than I can, but here are my issues: To see what your friends thought of this book, please sign up.

Do not read as a stand alone. And I do love Elijah so much! Aside from that, Jzmes really feel like EJ is a genius for being able to capture the 18th century the way she did. If only Villiers were here.

This book answered my questions rather well. The story had some really touching scenes. The duke’s illness, their past, the illness, the past, the illness
